CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS!

It was a great week of tennis for The Treasure Coast!

In finals action Canadian Sharon Finchman defeated Tadeja Majeric of Slovenia 6-3, 6-2 to win the singles title at the inaugural Tesoro Challenger Tournament.

Angelina Gabueva of Russia and American Allie Will edged Florencia Molinero of Argentina and Adriana Perez of Venezuela 4-6, 6-2, (10-7) to win the doubles title.

"It was an outstanding tournament and the level of tennis was world class," tournament director Winston Owen said. "The fans enjoyed it. Everyone supported the players and I'm really satisfied the way it wrapped up!"
